Carpool!

Vamos "reparar" os cerca de dois milhões de lugares vazios nos carros que todos os dias entram em Lisboa e no Porto. Se cada carro que entra nas duas principais metrópoles portuguesas passar a transportar duas pessoas, as reduções de emissões de gases para a atmosfera serão da ordem dos 10 por cento. É bom para a economia portuguesa, é bom para as famílias e é bom para o ambiente que as pessoas partilhem o seu veículo e desta forma contribuam para a redução do consumo, das emissões e assim assegurar uma mobilidade mais sustentável.

Carpooling - uso compartilhado de um automóvel particular por duas ou mais pessoas, para viajar para o trabalho ou escola. Normalmente, todos os participantes são proprietários de um automóvel e alternam o seu uso, economizando em despesas de viagem, contribuindo para a redução do trânsito e diminuindo a poluição do ar bem como a emissão de gases de efeito estufa. Esta é uma prática típica de cooperação que envolve distintos graus de regularidade e/ou de formalidade. É altamente incentivada nos Estados Unidos, Canadá e vários países da União Europeia para aliviar os problemas crónicos de congestionamento viário; nesses países reservam-se faixas exclusivas para os veículos de alta ocupação (em língua inglesa: high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes) permitindo aos participantes do carpooling e aos veículos de transporte público ultrapassar os veículos que ficam parados no trânsito.

Tudo é relativo

É tudo uma questão de sobrevivência? Importas-te que eu saia desta galáxia por um bocadinho? O que fazes com a tua química? Podemos misturar elementos? Agora vamos para onde? Mais olhos são mais janelas para mais almas? Se não estamos aqui, onde é que estamos? Aqui ou ali? A agressividade amistosa será mais eficaz que a amizade agressiva? Posso orbitar-te? Essa protecção para os olhos vem com uma crista? Onde é que estacionei a minha nave? O que achas dos meus tentáculos? Não, a sério! Só tens dois olhos? Porquê? Porque é que os buracos negros não podem ser azuis? Este ecossistema vem noutros sabores? Alguém gosta de tripedalismo? Como é que os outros seres da galáxia lidam com o stress? Como é que podes estar tão tristonho com um planeta tão rico em borato de sódio hidratado? As viagens não são todas viagens espaciais? Se tivéssemos sopa em pó suficiente, podíamos transformar os mares da Terra em sopa? Nós sabemos mesmo que achamos que sabemos? Os extraterrestres pensam neles próprios como terrestres normais?
